What Church of England clergy actually believe In 2002, Cost of Conscience and Christian Research conducted a wide-ranging survey, The Mind of Anglicans, amongst Church of England clergy, inviting them to tell us about their beliefs, moral and theological. Over 1,700 clergy (46% of those approached) replied – and the results were startling. Many admitted to doubting some of the most fundamental articles of the Faith which they publicly profess to believe Sunday by Sunday. In this 16-page booklet we present a summary of some of the survey’s findings – including an analysis of who doubted what.
